Where 20 years ago Piping and Drumming was known as a practice of teaching traditional music in some specific communities in particular regions, it is now undergoing a transformation into an interconnected community of devotees to an evolving form of traditional music, which features integration into curriculum of public and private primary-, secondary-, and postsecondary-schools, an ever-growing list of worldwide annual performance and competitive events, and opportunities to connect with similarly-interested musicians around the world.
